Church Isn’t Worth Your Time

Church Isn’t Worth Your Time

If you think the church is an event to attend on a Sunday, then it isn’t worth your time.

If you think the church is a building where people go to do religious activity, then it isn’t worth your time.

If you think the church is a haven for good people with stable lives, then it isn’t worth your time.

If you think the church is a social club for people who look, act, and think the same, then it isn’t worth your time.

If you think the church is the ministry of a pastor trying to make a name for himself or take your money, then it isn’t worth your time.

In some cases, people see the local church as a failure because it has been. People have been hurt by churches that only fit the description above. In most cases, they stay away because of a lack of vision for what the church is meant to be.

Most of the people we want to reach no longer think church is worth their time. They have seen and heard no compelling reasons to explain why they should give up their time and money. They’d rather stay home.

The good news is we don’t have to come up with our own vision for the church. We just need to be captured by God’s vision for His church.

If the church is a group of people to love and be loved by, then it is worth your time.

If the church is a group of people who love a real God with real intentions to save us, then it is worth your time.

If the church is God’s plan to unite people from every ethnic and social group on the planet into one family, then it is worth your time.

If the church is a group of people who care about the needs of your city and work together to meet those needs, then it is worth your time.

Jesus loves the church. Don’t give up on it. Jesus won’t.

Christ Fellowship wants to be a church that is so committed to the unifying Gospel of Jesus that everyone in our community will know us by our love for one another – regardless of ethnicity, social status, age, or gender. Learn more here.

I am in agreement with your church creed
We need to spread this word and be about God’s business. I thank God for this ministry and l pray for you and success. Keep doing what you are doing. God bless.

This is absolutely truthful in every area! I’ve been a life-long church-goer, but I after moving here I realized so many mega churches or either churches that never really felt comfortable and inviting. Christ Fellowship has really proven to be a mission-driven church that seeks to integrate worship and reach everyone. I love the atmosphere and that God’s love is the focus, not what you wear or what your name is.
