Weekly Update – September 6, 2017

“Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty!” – Psalm 93:4

Dear CFC family,

We have a small team travelling to Texas next week for hurricane relief. Contact Jaime or Paxton if you are interested in going. Continue praying for the folks in Texas and add to your prayers the people now being affected by Hurricane Irma.

Children’s ministry is BACK Sunday and will now be available every 2nd and 4th Sunday. Special thanks to the many volunteers who make this happen.

Finally, September 17 will be a busy day for the church.  We will go back to Palmer Home for food and fellowship after worship and witness a few baptisms in the lake! Make plans to join us. Later that afternoon, the men’s theology class will begin at 4pm at the band hall.

One in Christ,
Mike Winebrenner

2:4:6 Groups

In Acts 2:46, Luke writes that the early church gathered together for regular table fellowship and “…breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts.” We want to encourage this kind of hospitality to foster our love for one another. By signing up for 2:4:6, you are committing to a dinner group of 5-6 adults organized by the church staff. The group will then rotate homes with each person/family hosting once over a six-month period. […]

Children’s Ministry

Our  children’s ministry takes place during worship on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month. Children K-6th grade are dismissed during the announcements for a Bible lesson, snacks, and games. Leaders will meet them at the back of the band hall and escort them across the hallway to the children’s ministry area.
